5 Cheapest And 5 Most Expensive Electric Cars On Sale

What can we say about the Lotus Evija that hasn’t already been said? The car is a revelation, beautiful and unbelievably powerful while still holding true to its identity of lightness. Weighing a mere 3,703 pounds, it handily beats competitors like the Nevera and Battista, but that weight is made to feel even less significant thanks to its quad-motor record-setting power.

Lotus quotes a couple of numbers – 1,972 and 2,011 – when talking about the vehicle’s peak horsepower, so know it’s floating somewhere around 2,000. Torque comes in at 1,253 lb-ft, and both numbers combine to rocket this car from 0-62 mph in under three seconds on its way to a limited top speed of 218 mph. Range is around 200 miles, and a 350 kW fast charger can charge from 0-100% in just 18 minutes.

130 of these cars were planned, and deliveries started last summer. Initially all sold out, CarBuzz was told that orders remained open, but for how much longer that will be the case is a mystery. Oh, and an even hotter, track-only Lotus Evija X is on the way, too.
