While it’s a bit cliché at this point to refer to the Toyota GR Supra as a BMW, even when they share a production line, it’s hard to argue with the criticism when one of BMW’s biggest turners decides to release a tuning kit for the Japanese sports car. The company says this program was created out of a new partnership between AC Schnitzer and Toyota that makes it the exclusive tuner for the Supra, and many of these parts can be ordered from the dealer, at least in Germany. Instead of creating something that’s going to stop traffic on your way to work, AC Schnitzer subtly massages the original designs and gives more attention to engine and handling upgrades. This new Supra program follows the same formula, but you can mix and match which options you want to create the perfect package for you.
Tons of style
Starting with the aero upgrades, the first thing that hits you is the massive new carbon fiber rear wing. It can be optioned with or without a Gurney flap and features a high-strength construction with aluminum feet. The company says it produces usable downforce at speed, though doesn’t say how much. It’s complemented by the new front splitter in matte black that requires no painting, with both giving the car a sportier appearance similar to the upcoming Supra GRMN.

New 20-inch AC1 or AC4 alloy wheels can be chosen in BiColour or Anthracite (AC1s also get Black), but if you want something even larger, the 21-inch AC3 flow-formed rims can be optioned in the same colors. A two-color design stripe set that has been tested by AC for easy application either by a professional or by the Supra owners themselves is available and is sure to add 10 horsepower per stripe (trust me, bro). Even more style can be acquired by adding aluminum accessories to the interior, like the pedal set, keyholder, and iDrive system controller.
More Power And Improved Handling
No one likes all show and no go, so the company offers tuning upgrades for the six and four-cylinder engines. For the venerated B58, the company can increase performance from 340 horsepower up to 400 horsepower, and for the turbo-four, power is bumped from 258 hp to 300 hp. Both of these upgrades are offered with a warranty, and we recommend coupling them with the AC Schnitzer sports exhaust with carbon or sport black tips and the engine appearance package to really get the full effect.
