“Bike skidded and Robin had a…”

Gujarat Titans (GT) player Robin Minz shook the entire cricket fraternity when the news of his accident went viral. The youngster was involved in a horrible bike accident on Saturday (2nd March) which made many wonder about his health.

The wicket-batter met with a bike accident just a few days ahead of the IPL 2024. Robin Minz reportedly was riding a Kawasaki superbike and was returning home when his bike crashed with another bike and he lost control of his vehicle.

Robin Minz’s bike skidded on the road and the keeper-batter fell on the ground. He was then taken to the hospital and a few reports suggested that the youngster was under observation. The Gujarat Titans star reportedly suffered bruises on his right knee as well and his bike was completely damaged.

With all the speculations about his health, Robin Minz’s father Francis Minz shared an update about his son’s health. He said that the youngster had a narrow escape but thankfully he is better now. Speaking to Aaj Tak, he explained:

“Yesterday, when he was on his way back home, his bike skidded and Robin had a narrow escape. The bike is a bit damaged but Robin is alright.”

“He lost control when his bike came in contact with another bike. Nothing serious at the moment and he is currently under observation,” Robin Minz’s father had told News 18

Robin Minz’s father revealing that the batter is doing fine will be one of the biggest positives for the Gujarat Titans. This could well be a hint that he will be available for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, which will be played from 22nd March to 26th May.

Robin Minz was one of the hot picks in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction, which took place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai last year. He invited a bidding war between Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians before Gujarat Titans acquired him for INR 3.6 crore.

Robin Minz played a sensational knock of 137 in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy

Robin Minz was recently seen in action playing for Karnataka in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy. He played a magnificent innings for his team in the knockout game against Karnataka. The batter played a stellar innings of 137 runs but his effort went in vain as his team lost the game.

Robin Minz has been one of the exciting talents in Indian cricket. This was quite evident when he entered the auction. He had set himself a base price of INR 20 lakh. The batter was in demand and even Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni had told youngster’s father.

He had said: If no one picks him, we will”

Robin Minz will be playing under the leadership of Shubman Gill at the Gujarat Titans. The India batter was named captain after Hardik Pandya was traded to Mumbai Indians. It will be a huge challenge for the batter to lead the team with some of the big names being ruled out due to injuries.
