Harshal Patel had a stern warning for Naveen-ul-Haq when the latter tried to get out of the crease before the ball was bowled during the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
The incident took place in the very final over of the LSG innings when Harshal Patel was bowling to Krunal Pandya and Naveen-ul-Haq was standing at the n0n-striker’s end. The right-arm pacer was in his bowling run-up and was just about to deliver the ball but decided otherwise.
Although Harshal Patel did not take the bails off which is well within the rules of the game but warned the LSG player. The pacer stopped on the pitch, turned back, and said something to Naveen-ul-Haq, seemingly telling the Afghan star to remain inside the crease before walking away to his bowling mark.

Talking about the game, LSG finished their innings on a competitive total of 199 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Quinton de Kock starred with the bat, scoring 54 off 38 balls to lead his team’s early charge with the bat after the likes of KL Rahul (15) and Devdutt Padikkal (9) failed to get going.
Marcus Stoinis also could not do much with the bat and was out for 19. De Kock then found a good partner in Nicholas Pooran as the duo shared a crucial 47-run stand for the fourth wicket. Pooran scored 42 off just 21 balls. Towards the end, Krunal Pandya came up with a brilliant cameo to help his side post a daunting total. The allrounder scored an unbeaten 43 off 22 balls.
“I like to play situations, I am prepared that way, I am quite flexible, can bat anywhere from number 3 to number 7. Just want to go out there and contribute,” said Krunal Pandya.
“I like to prepare, take cricket as an exam. Like to prepare, but the result is not in my hand. 199 is a good total, if we bowl smartly we can defend this. The surface has changed, much better than last year. Need to adapt to the conditions. Need to bowl accordingly and see how it goes,” he added.
