Honda Civic EG Gets The Type R Engine It Always Deserved

Other modifications include an aftermarket Alpha radiator, a Skunk2 4-2-1 header, a high-flow G-sport catalytic converter, and a Revel Medallion Touring-S catback exhaust system. The hatchback also received a custom cold air intake.

The B18 was paired with Honda S2000 fuel injectors and a fuel pump for power modifications. The S2000 parts stick to the OEM theme for the build and are bolt-ons for the engine, allowing it to create more power. On the dyno, the Civic hatchback produced around 202 wheel horsepower and 197 lb-ft of torque – not as potent as a K24-powered Civic, but it was way more than the mere 92 hp offered by the stock mill.

For some aesthetic mods, LHT gave the Civic hatchback a new front lip and a set of new Enkei wheels and tires. It’s a tasteful build with all the right bits, and we hope to see it hit the track someday soon.
