Mercedes-AMG E53 Revealed With 603-HP Straight-Six Hybrid Engine

The E53 Hybrid receives several model-specific touches, including illuminated trim housed within the open-pore ash wood trim. As standard, the AMG gets Artico (faux leather) and Microcut (microfiber) trimmed AMG sports seats with red stitching and exclusive seat graphics. AMG Performance seats are an option. Other standard equipment includes a Nappa leather-trimmed AMG Performance steering wheel.

Customers can specify the MBUX Superscreen (with passenger monitor) at extra cost, but the MBUX multimedia system ships standard. This comprehensive infotainment system includes AMG-exclusive content, including the optional AMG Track Pace package and AMG Performance.

A special Edition 1 model will be offered for a year following the launch. This variant receives unique Manufaktur paintwork, sporty black stripes, standard exterior styling packages, such as the AMG Carbon Exterior option, as well as distinctive interior touches.

Mercedes has yet to reveal pricing and local availability for the E53, but that info will come later this year.
