Woman shares simple £2 method to make your home smell amazing

A cleaning expert has shared a £1.75 trick that leaves her house smelling wonderful for days.

Ella, a property interiors enthusiast, showed on TikTok how she uses different products to fill her home with lovely smells, one of which costs less than £2.

Ella, who is known as @ellsbellesxx on TikTok, claims there are several simple ways to get rid of any unpleasant smells in your home that will keep it smelling fresh “for days”.

Her first method involves mixing a cup of Zoflora (she used the mixed berry scent) with some water in a bowl. After that, the cleaning whizz takes a clean cloth, dips it into the mixture, and starts wiping all the surfaces in her kitchen.

You can buy the cleaning product from many popular shops and supermarkets but at £1.75, Zoflora Midnight Blooms Concentrated Disinfectant from Ocado seems to be the cheapest deal right now, according to The Sun.

“Honestly, the smell just lasts for days,” Ella raved about the bargain in the video, which only costs a few pennies per use.

“The next big thing that makes a really big difference is just to clean your sink.”

“Some people say not to do this but I also like to put Zoflora down the sink along with boiling water,” Ella added.

However, the cleaning expert warned that while the scent “smells so good”, she’s not sure if it “damages your sink or not”.

Ella also loves mini plug-in diffusers and uses them “all the time”.

“You literally just screw the lids off, plug it into your wall and it lasts for weeks.”

For smelly bins, Ella throws in some laundry scent boosters – and she has a tip for cushions too.

“My last little trick is to put tumble dryer sheets into your sofa cushions. Again, it is so simple – but it really makes a difference.”

“And if you’ve got a sofa like mine where you can take the covers off, you can also put them in there too.”

Many people have joined in the conversation on the social media platform to share their own tips for making their homes smell nice.

One person said: “Get a warm damp cloth, [put] some Zoflora on there and wipe down all the radiators when the heating is on. Oh my God, [it] smells unreal.”

Another person suggested: “I always put a cup full of bleach in the bin bag. So much better than using the scent boosters.”

“You can get powder to put in bins so you don’t have to use scent boosters,” one person suggested.

“A dishwasher tablet in the sink with boiling water,” another cleaning lover recommended.
