Aston Martin’s gorgeous Racing Green finish is officially its most popular paint color, beating out dull shades like silver and grey.
The Gaydon-based brand credits this rise in popularity to its Formula 1 success in the 2023 season, and there’s proof to back this up. Following the Aston Martin Aramco F1 team’s first podium, the automaker noted an uptick in new car orders specified with the elegant hue.
Introduced to the color palette in 2021, Racing Green was immediately popular, representing approximately 7% of new car orders in the first 12 months after the brand’s return to the F1 track. Since then, it has been on the up and up. 12% of all new Aston Martins are now delivered in this iconic shade. The next most popular shade is Xenon Grey, applied to 6.8% of cars like the DB12 Coupe, Vantage, and the DBX SUV.
