Incredibly Rare And Collectible Porsches Head To Amelia Island Auction

A 1990 Porsche 964 Carrera 4 Reimagined by Singer will capture the attention of many, as this is one of the early ‘Classic Study’ cars, of which 450 were created. Known as the ‘Amsterdam Commission,’ this example has covered 2,077 miles since Singer handcrafted it. These don’t come up for sale too often, so collectors won’t want to mess around when it’s time to bid. It’s estimated to sell for $1,100,000 – $1,300,000.

Three other 964s, all special in their way, will also be offered at the Amelia Island Auction. This includes a ’92 Carrera RS ($400,000 – $500,000), a ’92 Carrera RS N/GT ($600,000 – $800,000), and a ’94 Turbo S Flachbau X83 ($1,000,000 – $1,250,000). The Flachbau (Flatnose) is particularly special, as it is one of the last 964 Turbo S models produced, with this example heading to Japan.
