You’ve probably heard of Ninja thanks to its air fryer range, which the brand claims can cut down cooking time and even reduce energy costs compared with using a traditional oven. However, some of the best-sellers in the line-up do come as a bit of an investment. At the top end of the spectrum, Ninja’s most expensive model, the extra large double-stack air fryer, will set you back close to £300.
Of course, the brand offers a range of air fryers at various price points (the single zone air fryer is one of the cheapest at just £99.99), but it also has periodical discounts throughout the year. These discounts cover some of the brand’s best-sellers, and right now, you can save up to £70.
But, as is often the case with Ninja’s offers, they will only be around for a limited time and can change at little notice. So, if you do spot a discount, it’s worth pursuing it. As well as discounts on the Ninja website, you can also find some decent savings on Amazon and, occasionally, retailers such as Currys run deals and offers on Ninja air fryers.
The Ninja Foodi FlexDrawer Dual Air Fryer has one of the biggest discounts on the website right now, with £70 off. Usually retailing for £269.99, the air fryer is currently on sale for £99.99.
The air fryer has two drawers, so you can cook food in two separate ways at the same time, but you can remove the diving panel and create one extra-large cooking drawer. There are seven cooking options to choose from, including Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate, and Prove.
In a study conducted independently by Ninja, the air fryer could cook a family-meal-sized portion of sausages and fish fingers 65% faster than a traditional fan oven. In the same study, they also found that the air fryer used 45% less energy than an oven to cook sausages based on the recommended cooking time.
Once you’re finished cooking, the drawer, divider and crisper plates can all be removed and safely popped into the dishwasher to clean.
As with all Ninja products, the air fryer has a two-year guarantee (just remember to register your appliance after purchase).
Ninja has £60 off its “best-selling” Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer, which is currently discounted from £229 to £169. The two-drawer air fryer is a popular choice (it has a customer satisfaction rating of 4.9 out of a possible five), not only because of its cooking speeds but also because of its aesthetics. The sleek black air fryer is accented with silver attachments and an easy-to-use button control panel. There is also the option to buy a white and silver option (though this isn’t currently on sale).
Perhaps the only drawback of this air fryer is its size, particularly for those with a small kitchen or limited counter space.
But, on the up-side, the air fryer has six cooking settings: roast, air fry, bake, crisp, reheat and dehydrate.
You also have the option to set each drawer to a different cooking setting, which is handy when using it for a full meal. You can even set a timer to sync both drawers so that your food is ready to serve all in one go or set each drawer with an individual temperature and time.
Based on Ninja’s independent studies, cooking hand-cut chips in the air fryer means 75% less fat compared with deep frying. They also found that the appliance cooks sausages and fish fingers 75% faster than a fan oven.
The Ninja Double Stack is a great option for those with limited counter space. It uses the same dual-drawer format as Ninja’s best-selling air fryer but places the compartments one on top of the other.
Right now, you can save £50.99 on the extra large version of the Double Stack (which can hold up to 9.5L). The air fryer is discounted from £269.99 to £219. One of the interesting things about the air fryer is that you can cook four layers of food in one go, thanks to the metal inserts that can be placed into each drawer to create four separate cooking compartments.
Like most of Ninja’s other air fryers, it has six cooking functions: air fry, crisp, roast, bake, dehydrate, and reheat. Based on Ninja’s independent studies, the Double Stack uses 55% less energy than an oven when cooking sausages. The deal also comes with a recipe book if you need some inspiration.
When you register your appliance online (make sure it’s the first thing you do when it arrives), the air fryer also benefits from a two-year warranty.
