According to Toward: “Distilled white vinegar is the answer to cleaning your shower head and addressing your limescale problems.
“Pour some white vinegar into a sandwich bag and place the showerhead in it, making sure it’s fully submerged in the vinegar.”
The sandwich bag serves as a practical and mess-free container that can be tied around the shower head with a rubber band or string.
This allows the vinegar to soak and dissolve the mineral deposits without removing the fixture. After letting it sit for at least an hour, simply rinse the shower head under hot water and enjoy the improved water flow.

Even if you’re short on time or vinegar, Toward offers an alternative: “If you’re in a rush and don’t have any white vinegar, cola can work as a quick fix.”
The same method applies – just fill a zip-lock bag with cola, tie it around the head, and leave it for 30 to 60 minutes.
