Porsche is on a roll lately, revealing several new vehicles and special editions this year, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. We’ve already seen the base 911 and GTS updated for 2025, followed shortly after by the 992.2 911 GT3 and then the 911 T. Next in line is the facelifted Turbo model. Thanks to a mistake on the German market configurator, first noticed by local car-spotter Ari, Porsche has accidentally revealed the design of the upcoming 911 Turbo, or at least part of it. Ari discovered the leak in the visualizer for the regular 911 Carrera’s cruise control option, but it’s quite clearly a Turbo model with four exhaust tips and very wide rear haunches. Porsche has since removed the error from its configurator, but you can still see it in the Instagram post at the bottom of this article.

Updated Styling In Line With 992.2 Facelift
Sadly, only the rear of the car has been exposed and the image isn’t of the highest definition, but we can still clearly see some changes. The rear bumper has received a considerable refresh, with the license plate recess becoming slightly more pronounced. The upright vents at each end of the bumper are also new, replacing square-shaped outlets on the 992.1. The exhaust tips are now squared, though, and the diffuser section has become chunkier.

Horizontal reflectors still appear, and we can expect the front end to boast Porsche’s newest headlights with the turn indicators housed within the main clusters, along with mild updates to the front fascia. On paper, it sounds like this is a very subtle facelift, but nobody will mistake these looks for an older model when they see the car in person. Porsche has found a way to evolve the 911’s design with what seems like perfect restraint, but that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
Hybrid Power Incoming
A week ago, Porsche revealed that the 2025 911 Turbo would share Varta battery technology with the latest GTS model, which effectively confirms that the 992.2 Turbo will be gaining hybrid power for the new model year. What remains to be seen is if the Turbo will stick with a twin-turbocharged engine or if it will get a single electric turbo like the GTS, but we suspect that the former is more likely for the 992.2, with an all-new setup for the next generation.
