“We may not be able to deliver it to everyone who wishes to purchase it,” wrote the company in a statement that was translated from Japanese. Mitsuoka reportedly received more than 1,300 messages from customers interested in the M55, and it is still deciding on a release date.
This suggests that the M55 will be a limited-run project, and we suspect that pricing must also still be worked out. Regardless, we can be sure that it will pricier than any normal Civic.
The M55 gains motivation from the regular Civic’s standard engine. In this case, it’s a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which sends 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels.
