The Lexus IS has been updated for 2026 and will arrive in dealerships in the USA early next year. It comes with refreshed looks, some added tech, and an optimization of the power steering and suspension systems.
Inside the 2026 Lexus IS, the instrument panel, center console, and multimedia system have all been updated. The Lexus interface is now housed on a larger 12.3-inch screen that matches the driver’s information cluster in size.
A new interior color for the Lexus IS is available in 2026, called Radiant Red – inspired by the “vivid glow of solar flares” which looks sporty while retaining the excellent, high-quality interior Lexus is known for.
A bigger multimedia screen isn’t the only interior update to the 2026 IS, and there are somew new trim options for buyers to consider. All models come with a 10-speaker Lexus Premium Sound System, with an optional upgrade to a 17-speaker Mark Levinson unit.
Lexus has added two high-output USB ports to the interior of the new IS, with standard wireless charging and two Type C charging ports for rear-seat passengers within easy reach. There’s a new ‘Forged Bamboo’ ornamentation on the center console and start switch bezel – the natural fibers used create a special shading effect called “In-ei” which is visible here.
The standard 3.5-liter V6 can be paired to either an eight-speed automatic for the rear wheels, or a six-speed auto for all-wheel drive models. In all cases, 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque is standard.
As far as exterior changes to the 2026 Lexus IS go, the front end design is freshened to highlight a low center of gravity and the car’s wide stance. F Sport models have an available rear spoiler and red brake calipers.
Nothing changes at the rear end for 2026, but the Lexus IS exterior is a pleasing design that ages well. The thin, full-width light bar and angular taillights are underscored by dual exhaust pipes that suggest the sedan has sporty intentions.
The 2026 Lexus IS exterior color lineup includes Ultra White, Iridium, Cloudburst Gray, Caviar, Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0, and Wind – the latter is a light gray infused with metallic highlights, and is new for 2026.
The only other exterior updated to the 2026 Lexus IS are new 19-inch wheel designs in lightweight aluminum; this facelift is the sedan’s third since the third-generation was launched in 2014, making this one of the oldest luxury sedans on sale today.
For 2026, the Lexus IS will only be sold as 350 model with two trims to choose from: F Sport Design and F Sport. Pricing has not been made available at the time of writing.
